Bridlington, c.1910

This version of the photo is a digitally restored version I have been working on for a while.
I scanned the original glass plate, which is about 7"x5" in size, at very high resolution, and carefully removed all dust marks, scratches, etc.
Because the top-left corner of the plate was damaged, I carefully masked off the sky area of the photo, cutting round the tops of all the buildings, which then allowed me to experiment adding skies from other photographs.
Finally, I moved the hand written caption to a more suitable location.

I intend to have prints made from this file by a new process, whereby a laser is used to expose special photographic paper that has very good fade resistance properties. The image file is of sufficient size and quality that I expect to be able to produce prints up to around 16"x12".
